Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Description We are working with a company based in Fife, WA that is in search of an Accounting Manager to join the team! In this role, you will be managing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of various financial operations. This is a direct-hire, permanent position that would require the ability to work on-site 5-days per week. Apply today! Responsibilities Include: • Oversee daily accounting operations such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), billing, collections, and banking processes. • Supervise and process payroll using ADP, ensuring accuracy and compliance with wage laws. • Handle payroll-related matters such as garnishments, employment security filings, and labor compliance. • Collaborate closely with HR to guarantee accuracy in employee records and benefits deductions. • Lead and train a team of accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. • Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts and preparation of financial monthly reports. • Monitor cash flow, analyze financial data, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance. • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including filing and remittance of taxes. • Utilize warehouse management and accounting software to streamline financial processes. • Develop and implement best practices for financial systems and reporting. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor and industries regulations and ensure compliance with employment security requirements. • Oversee audits and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants as needed. Salary and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $85,000-$95,000, with the opportunity to additional bonuses. Benefits offered with this position include MDV insurance, a 401k with a 4% match, 9 paid holidays (2 floating) and 1 week of PTO accrued in the first year in addition to WA State sick time. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required) • Strong proficiency in using QuickBooks is required. • 5+ years of progressive experience, including supervisory roles. • Proficiency in the full accounting cycle. • Experience with ADP - Payroll system, Payroll Management, and Payroll Taxes • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes • Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) operations • Knowledge in Auditing practices and procedures • Ability to handle Billing Functions effectively • Skilled in Month End Close procedures • Ability to generate and analyze Financial Reports. • Experience in Account Reconciliation • Understanding of State tax regulations and procedures • Familiarity with Federal Tax laws and requirements Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
