Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Financial Reporting Manager to join our team in Schaumburg, Illinois. You will play a vital role in the finance department, managing day-to-day accounting processes and leading the coordination of our financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Leading the daily accounting operations • Coordinating and supporting the financial reporting process • Conducting regular analysis of actual vs. budget performance and identifying trends • Preparing financial reports that compare current budget and costs to previous years • Collaborating with external auditors for the annual financial audit • Implementing new accounting standards when applicable • Drafting internal communications and policies related to accounting • Managing and analyzing confidential operating results, financial information, operating procedures, and forecasts • Completing special projects related to finance and accounting • Improving efficiencies of current processes and files. Requirements • Possess a strong understanding and capability to perform Month End Close procedures. • Ability to analyze Financial Statements with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Demonstrable experience in conducting Financial Audits, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. • Proven managerial or supervisory experience within the Accounting field. • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of guiding a team effectively. • Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. • CPA certification or detail oriented qualification is preferred. • Demonstrable understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. • Strong problem solving and creative skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. • High level of proficiency in managing multiple tasks and deadlines. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and management.
