MAU is hiring an Accounting Coordinator for our client in Indianapolis, IN. As an Accounting Coordinator will collaborate with various Accounting and Business departments, providing essential accounting support to internal teams and external partners. This role includes handling specific activities related to selling a portion of the marine business to an external buyer on behalf of the Defense sector.  This is a contract, long-term assignment.

Remote Hybrid Schedule: Monday to Wednesday: Remote Thursday & Friday: In-office Working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years of accounting experience, or a Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years of accounting experience Strong knowledge of general accounting, including accounting entries, reconciliations, and analysis SAP experience preferred General Requirements Proven ability to communicate effectively and solve problems efficiently Capable of managing a high-volume, fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, multiple demands, and tight deadlines Essential Functions Provide accounting details and documentation for AP, AR, GL, or cash items to the Defense finance teams or buyer as requested Coordinate data collection and reporting efforts required by the M&A group Manage ad hoc tasks such as completing reconciliations, reviewing journal entries, and other duties as directed by management
