Accounting Reconciliation Specialist I

The Accounting Reconciliation Specialist I is primarily responsible for reconciling daily cash receivables to ensure accuracy prior to posting cash journal entries to the General Ledger. This individual would also process and reconcile revenue adjustments and make necessary entries to the General Ledger.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Meets daily and month end deadlines
+ Analyzes and prepares journal entries for adjustments, refunds, other AR, and miscellaneous in Great Plains on a weekly basis
+ Balances depository accounts daily and resolve any variances
+ Runs daily check image audits
+ Reconciles all cash transactions using Excel spreadsheets
+ Downloads remits from banking partners
+ Effectively communicates with team members, internal company departments and external business partners
+ Generates and reconciles daily, weekly and monthly reports
+ Processes credit card payment requests
+ Manages and balances bank corrections and exceptions
+ Processes invoice and open credit adjustments, write-offs and refunds in various AR systems
+ Reconciles adjustments, write-offs and refunds processed in AR systems
+ Assists team with seasonal audits
+ Assists Treasury Team with occasional commercial deposits
+ Adheres to all Maxim and worksite rules, policies and procedures
+ Assists with other special projects as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
+ High School Diploma required and/or equivalent 1 – 2 years of work experience
+ Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
+ Strong knowledge of Excel
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to adapt to change
+ Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
+ Detail oriented and excellent time management skills
+ Previous experience with Great Plains and CashPro is a plus, but not required
Wage/Salary Information:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour, with a $3,000 annual bonus potential
