Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our clients team in Pleasanton, California. This role operates within the Engineering industry and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and administrative tasks, including processing journal entries, providing deposit summaries, and conducting financial reports. Responsibilities: • Execute account reconciliations to ensure accurate records • Conduct general ledger entries • Prepare and present financial reports • Support the lead accountant and provide backup when necessary • Assist with special projects as assigned by management • Carry out general administrative tasks to support the team • Take part in year-end support activities • Use accounting software systems for various accounting functions • Perform tasks related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Process and post journal entries using Microsoft Excel formulas Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Strong understanding and application of Accounting Functions • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Ability to accurately generate Journal Entries • Familiarity with the workings of a General Journal • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
