We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our Labor Accounting team within the Finance Department at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems located in Poway, CA.  This role involves performing various accounting tasks, including timecard entry, employee data setup, reconciliations, and providing employee support. A successful team member is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service. Comprehensive training is provided for this position.
This position follows a hybrid work model, with a combination of remote and in-office workdays.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
​Frequently interacts with employees via phone and email, providing timekeeping support and guidance consistent with Company policies and procedures.Processes timecard corrections by reviewing submissions for compliance and completing the data entry timely and accurately. Participates in weekly labor processing in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.Assists with the calculation and reconciliation of special payments.Recommends and initiates procedures to improve efficiency of internal processes.Executes moderately complex queries and reports from accounting systems for labor, payroll, and other reconciliations, noting any inconsistencies and resolving discrepancies and exceptions.Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.Performs other duties as assigned or required to support the goals of the Labor Accounting department.Participates in the research and analysis of accounting entries and initiates appropriate adjusting entries that will maintain integrity of accounting records.We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.
