Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an Accounting Specialist in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be managing financial records and transactions, handling accounting software systems, and responding to internal and external inquiries. Your role will also involve front desk duties with minimal traffic and phone interaction. Responsibilities • Managing daily accounting functions using software systems such as QuickBooks and Excel • Processing and entering approved timesheets accurately • Carrying out accounts payable and receivable tasks • Handling billing functions with precision and efficiency • Performing data entry tasks related to invoices and other financial documents • Responding to internal calls for Purchase Orders • Managing light phone duty, primarily handling solicitors' calls • Receiving and organizing mail at the front desk • Ensuring the accurate maintenance of financial records. *Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment. Requirements • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the Accounting field is required. • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is mandatory. • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in performing Accounting Functions is expected. • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed. • Proficiency in Billing Functions is a must. • Familiarity with Excelsius is required. • Expertise in using QuickBooks is important. • Experience in managing Approved Timesheets is necessary. • Strong Data Entry skills are required.
