Description We are offering a long-term contract position as an Accounting Specialist in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is crucial in the aviation service industry, providing essential financial services for defense contractors and the government. The Accounting Specialist will be working on-site in a small office setting, managing both accounts payable and receivable, coordinating with the supply chain, and creating customer sales invoices. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the processing of accounts payable and receivable • Coordinate effectively with the supply chain team • Generate and distribute customer sales invoices accurately • Utilize accounting software systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for various accounting functions • Employ Costpoint and Deltek Costpoint for specific financial tasks • Use Microsoft Excel for basic navigation and data entry tasks • Ensure the maintenance of accurate financial records • Monitor customer accounts and resolve any inquiries promptly • Train other team members as required, sharing knowledge and expertise.
