Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an Accounting Specialist in Norfolk, Virginia. This role is primarily focused on providing crucial support through a variety of accounting tasks, including accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting duties in line with GAAP. Additionally, the position involves an important administrative component that supports the efficient functioning of our organization. Responsibilities: • Managing accounts payable tasks, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded • Handling general accounting duties in accordance with GAAP • Providing administrative and clerical support to enhance the smooth operation of our organization • Processing payroll, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time • Utilizing accounting software systems to maintain accurate financial records • Overseeing accounts receivable, ensuring all incoming payments are correctly processed • Performing billing functions, issuing invoices and tracking payments.
