Accounting Specialist
Description We are in search of an Accounting Specialist to join a team in Arden Hills, Minnesota. In this role, you will be handling a high volume of invoices daily in a dynamic environment, maintaining accuracy and timeliness. This role is a part of the finance industry and offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Manage a high volume of invoice transactions, ensuring accurate and efficient processing. • Prioritize workload as per the urgency and importance of tasks. • Assist with other invoice entry tasks as required to meet team goals. • Refer urgent or escalated matters to the Supervisor or Department Manager promptly. • Use Accounting Software Systems and Concur for various accounting functions. • Display a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks. • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word skills to maintain and manage data. • Work effectively within a team environment in an open concept setting. • Analyze and resolve invoice issues using problem-solving skills. • Maintain confidentiality concerning financial matters. *Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential • Mastery of Concur software for expense management • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions, including general ledger duties and monthly closings • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice processing and payment • Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoice creation and payment collection • Experience in Billing Functions, including invoice generation and payment tracking • Ability to handle Check Processing, including writing, sending, and recording checks.
