**Job Description**

**Core Responsibilities**
+ Partner with FBP Controllers on ad hoc projects, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement within the Fixed assets and Investments function.
+ Manage accounting processes for Fixed Assets, including acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, and capitalization of costs, as well as monitoring Right of Use assets in compliance with IFRS 16.
+ Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations including supporting explanations and ensure follow up on outstanding balances and taking corrective action.
+ Maintain adherence to local statutory reporting rules, tax requirements for entities in region and lead communication with external and internal auditors.
+ Prepare, review and submit reporting, and ad hoc financial information requests.
+ Support all audit-related activities including internal audits, statutory audits, tax audits.
+ Responsibility for the completion and review of internal and external reporting and audit requirements.
+ Consistently adheres to company guidelines and policies.
+ Acts as key contact for queries concerning accounting and other finance matters.
+ Building and strengthening partner relations across areas and geographies (incl. Business Controllers, Project Managers, Internal Controls, Tax, External Reporting and External auditors)
+ Continuously train and coach team members and participate initiatives across departments.
+ Support the Team Leaders and FBP Controllers with ad hoc projects, issue resolution and continuous operational improvement.

The LEGO Business Service Operations (BSO) is a shared service centre that delivers HR and Finance services to the entire LEGO Group from three locations: Monterrey, Prague, and Singapore. The General Ledger (GL) department interacts with great parts of the LEGO organisation and therefore holds a key role within the Business Service Operations (BSO) supporting the EMEA region. The team is responsible for compliant handling of the general ledger which involves natural interaction with a broad range of both internal and external collaborators. This role is a 3-year fixed-term contract.
**Do you have what it takes?**
The departmental focus is to make sure we live our partner promise by ensuring high quality and full compliance with the LEGO Groups Accounting Policy and processes. You will ensure timely, accurate and reliable transactional data is recorded in general ledger and timely reconciliation of all accounts. Ability to support internal and external collaborators with insightful and value-adding financial analyses, recurring statements. The GL department supports The LEGO Group with consistent, high quality customer focused execution of GL processes and partner management. The Specialist will a significant role in developing an efficient department with oriented colleagues. Active in shaping and strengthening a high-performing department which values collaboration, process excellence, quality, and fun!
+ Considerable experience working in a finance function with over 2 years in a similar role.
+ Proven accounting experience in Fixed assets and Investments area, including large manufacturing sites.
+ Experience with an enterprise-wide accounting software system, preferably SAP.
+ Microsoft Office at experienced level.
+ Analytical and meticulous.
+ Ability to accept changes, as well as having an initiative-taking mind with a can-do attitude.
+ Personal drive and initiative, excellent collaboration skills and proven ability to build trust and credibility.
+ Capability to deliver results and demonstrate accountability
+ Strong written and spoken English, additional languages are an advantage. Preferably proven working experience in international accounting environment.
This is a 3 year fixed term contract.
