Description We are in search of an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Henrico, Virginia. This role involves managing financial records, processing invoices, and coordinating with various departments to ensure accurate accounting. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Manage the sending of invoices to member clubs for dues and event fees • Work closely with corporate sponsors and operations to account for In-Kind and cash donations accurately • Handle the processing of vendor invoices and payments • Conduct account reconciliations, noting any unposted debits and credits • Record financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner • Assist in creating financial reports and analyses for the leadership team • Collaborate with Event Managers to ensure comprehensive and accurate event budgeting • Support the Director of Finance in preparing annual tax-exempt organization returns for the IRS (Form 990) • Provide assistance to the Event Operations team during soccer events • Perform other duties as needed Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential • Familiarity with Ceridian software is beneficial • Knowledge of Concur software is necessary • Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is vital • Ability to perform Accounting Functions is crucial • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is needed • Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is important • Auditing skills are desirable • Capability in executing Billing Functions is required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
