Description We are welcoming an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. As an Accounting Specialist, your main role will be to support our accounting team with financial system transitions, data migration, and month-end close processes. This is a long-term contract opportunity that offers a chance to work closely with our team and external consultants to ensure accurate historical data migration, system testing, and reporting validation. Responsibilities • Collaborate with internal teams, software vendors, and external consultants for effective troubleshooting • Conduct thorough testing, validation, and reconciliation of financial data post-import • Assist in the training of internal accounting staff on the new system and document workflows • Actively participate in the month-end and year-end close processes during the transition • Work diligently with accounting staff to reconcile discrepancies between systems • Ensure general ledger mappings are accurate and comply with company standards • Provide detailed variance analysis and assist in identifying data inconsistencies. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems • Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning • Thorough understanding of Accounting Functions • Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience in Auditing • Competency in Billing Functions • Expertise in Sage Accounting Software • Proficiency in using QuickBooks Pro • Familiarity with Yardi Voyager • Experience with System Implementation Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
