Description Are you an experienced accounting professional with a passion for supporting commercial real estate operations? Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to handle full-cycle processing of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). This position plays a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the financial health of a growing commercial real estate and property management company. Key Responsibilities: Full-Cycle Accounts Payable (AP): Manage the complete AP process, including vendor invoice coding, approvals, and payments. Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies promptly. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including timely processing of invoices and maintaining accurate records. Full-Cycle Accounts Receivable (AR): Process tenant billings, rent payments, and other receivables. Monitor and follow up on past-due accounts, while maintaining positive client relationships. Post payments accurately and manage AR aging reports. Month-End Close Support: Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting tasks as part of the monthly close process. Report AP and AR metrics, highlighting trends and proactively addressing issues. Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams (property management, leasing, etc.) to ensure accuracy in financial transactions. Serve as a point of contact for vendor and tenant inquiries, resolving issues effectively. Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in AP/AR processes and recommend improvements to enhance workflow and productivity. Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. 2+ years of experience in full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable. Prior experience in commercial real estate, property management, or a similar industry is a strong plus. Proficiency in accounting software (Yardi) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
