Description We are partnering with a local Schenectady organization seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger tasks. This employment opportunity offers a short term contract. Responsibilities: • Responsible for accounts payable and receivable • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles • Assist with the completion of annual audits • Ensure compliance and accuracy in your work • Address queries and issues regarding billing and accounting • Implement and ensure adherence to financial regulations and legislation. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Functions is mandatory. • Must have a strong understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP). • Knowledge and experience handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is required. • Candidate should have experience in Auditing/Auditing support. • Experience with Billing Functions and general ledger understanding. • Experience utilizing Sage software a plus.
