Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to validate, code, and perform data entry for distributor bill backs regarding monthly promotions. The ideal candidate will frequently correspond with the sales force and distributors to clarify monthly deals and ensure accurate processing of invoices for payment.

ResponsibilitiesValidate and analyze backup reports against invoices and promotions.Research backup not submitted with claims (e.g., Promo Agreements, chain alerts).Code promotions on invoices.Perform data entry into the system (SAP).Contact distributors and Regional Managers for additional information regarding missing backup or clarification.Process revisions as needed.Train distributors on bill back submissions when necessary.Answer phone calls and respond to emails from the sales team and distributors.Organize and file documents alphabetically, numerically, and by receipt date, which may require heavy lifting, frequent walking, and bending.Handle special projects as assigned.Essential SkillsRecently acquired Degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics. (MANDATORY)Proficiency in Excel (including Power User Excel, Vlookup, and PivotTables). (MANDATORY)Detail-oriented and analytical.Accounting background with auditing or accounting classes.Super-User in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Strong computer skills (e.g., creating folders, opening and closing windows).Extremely detail-oriented and accurate with minimal error rates.Strong comprehension and analytical skills.Clear and strong verbal and written communication skills.Fast learner.Fast and accurate typist with 10 key skills.Self-motivated, able to take initiative, and not afraid to ask questions.Strong organizational and time management skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsFlexible schedule with the expectation of overtime as needed.Work Environment

This role is based at our corporate headquarters in a professional office setting. The job may require heavy lifting, frequent walking to other parts of the building, and frequent bending.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
