Description A dynamic Hospitality organization in Escondido is searching for an Accounting Specialist to join their team. This role is perfect for a candidate with experience in accounting within the hospitality industry, providing support in areas such as AP, AR, and general ledger reconciliations. Key Responsibilities: + Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice processing and payment posting. + Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. + Prepare journal entries and assist in maintaining the general ledger. + Support the month-end closing process through report preparation and account reconciliations. + Collaborate with team members to provide financial analysis and variance reporting. + Maintain compliance with accounting policies and procedures unique to the hospitality industry. Requirements + 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry. + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle) and intermediate Excel skills. + Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + High school diploma required; an associate degree or higher in accounting is preferred.
