We are seeking an experienced and detail-orientated Accounting Specialist with expertise in grant management to join a dynamic local team. As the Accounting Specialist you will ensure the financial integrity of programs and assist in managing the funds that help drive our mission forward.

Responsibilities: ... Oversee all financial aspects of grant funding, including budgeting, tracking expenses, and reporting.
Prepare accurate financial reports for grant compliance and audits.
Assist with the preparation of grant proposals by ensuring proper budget details and financial documentation.
Coordinate with program managers to monitor grant budgets and ensure all financial obligations are met.
Maintain accurate records of all grant transactions and ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations.
Process payments and invoices related to grant expenditures.
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities related to grants.
Reconcile financial data for grant-funded programs and prepare reports for funders.
Work closely with the finance team to ensure overall budget and financial health of the organization.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-orientated environment
Proficiency in accounting software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications:
3+ years of experience preferable in a non-profit setting
Proven experience managing grants, including budgeting, reporting and compliance
Knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations specific to non-profits and grant management
