Accounting Supervisor

The Accounting Supervisor is a member of the Global Accounting & Control Team reporting to the Global Accounting Director based in St. Paul, MN. This is a key role responsible for leading and coordinating the month-end close process and serving as a finance partner to divisions and functions across the company. This position has one direct report, an accountant to support day-to-day accounting and month-end close procedures.

What You Will Do:

Support the Ecolab monthly general ledger close process in SAPReview and analyze monthly financial results for the Ecolab entitiesPrepare and review various journal entries prepared by the NA Accounting team during the monthWork closely with the Global Business Services (GBS) team in Buenos Aires during month-end close, and throughout the month on various accounting proceduresMonitor clearing accounts during close to ensure appropriate balancesReview monthly account reconciliations for various balance sheet accountsAssist in the quarterly balance sheet fluctuation review of the Ecolab entitiesProvide accounting and policy guidance to divisions and functions across the companyPrepare documentation in support of external and internal auditsAssure policies are being followed in accordance with SOX, US GAAP and Corporate PoliciesLead special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field5 years of accounting and/or finance experienceNo immigration sponsorship available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA, CMA or MBAExperience with SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Blackline and Microsoft Office ApplicationsStrong accounting background, attention to detail, and well-developed organizational skillsResults oriented, proactive, and possesses a high level of integrityAbility to work independently and resolve complex issues in a fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrates ability to work well across divisions and functions (HR, Payroll, Audit, Tax, Treasury)
