Accounting Supervisor
Description A reputable organization in the financial services sector is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial accounting, a firm grasp of GAAP, and experience in banking or credit unions (but not required). Key Responsibilities: + Manage accounting functions and oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports. + Oversee the monthly close process and the preparation of income statements, balance sheets, budget variance reports, and ratio reports. + Ensure accuracy and timeliness in monthly & quarterly financial reports, including the Call Report and FHLB reporting. + Lead and manage a team, ensuring maximum productivity, performance, and compliance with regulatory standards. + Manage the account reconciliation process and ensure balance sheet accounts are accurately reconciled quarterly. + Oversee the preparation of special financial schedules and assist with projects as needed. + Contribute to the preparation of the annual report, 10K filings, and assist with the annual budgeting process. + Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules for the parent company and subsidiary banks. + Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and OFAC regulations. SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $90,000 BENEFITS OFFERED: - Healthcare Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision - Other Insurance: Life and Disability - Retirement Plan: 401k w 7% match - PTO: Accrual based PTO totaling approximately 3 weeks to start Requirements Requirements: + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA a plus. + Demonstrated experience in financial accounting and GAAP; banking or credit union experience is a plus. + Strong ability to manage accounting staff, including performance management and team development. + Excellent attention to detail and ability to prepare accurate and timely financial reports. + Proficient with financial accounting software and tools. + Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
