Overview Coborn’s is hiring for a data loving and tech-savy Accounting Systems Analyst who can help take our accounting team to the next level. As the Accounting Systems Analyst you will provide a high level of customer service serving as a technical point-of-contact for assigned various areas of the business. You will also, provide day-to-day functional and technical support for subject matter experts and end users and manage the electronic data interchange (EDI) process within the organization. Requirements Additional Duties Include: Systems Analysis & Optimization Evaluate current financial systems and processes; identify areas for improvement or automation. Recommend and implement system enhancements to improve data flow, reporting and efficiency. Analyze user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve accounting functions. Accounting System Support & Troubleshooting: Serve as a primary point of contact and provide ongoing timely support to system users. Responsible for troubleshooting issues, updating data in the systems and/or providing recommended solutions. Monitor the Help Desk tickets and ensure prompt responses and resolution to reported issues; collaborate with cross-functional team members when needed and ensure timely resolution. Escalate complex, unusual problems and issues as appropriate. Collaborate with new and existing EDI vendors on the proper configuration and set up of EDI tools that support file transfer. Perform testing and validation of EDI transactions, ensuring that data flows accurately between systems. Monitor system upgrades, assess impacts of change and proactively collaborate with business areas to ensure new functionality is tested and installed timely. Create, maintain and train on Accounting system processes and procedures, end user job aids, as well as various reference materials for Accounting technology. EDI & Electronic Processing System Management: Oversee the daily processing of EDI transactions related to accounting functions such as invoices, payments, and purchase orders. Responsible for managing the shared mailbox for EDI and promptly responding to vendor requests. Ensure timely and accurate data transmission between accounting systems and EDI vendors. Partner with Merchandising to correct UPC/Global Trade Item Number errors. Works with other methods of electronic processing such as Scan Based Trading and 3rd Party outsourcing. Reconciliation & Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies between internal accounting records and data received from external partners via EDI. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and EDI protocols for financial transactions. Maintain detailed documentation of EDI processes, financial transaction flows, and issue resolution steps. Reporting & Analysis: Assist in writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of semi-complex reports using reporting tools. Develop and create schedule for standard reports for ongoing customer and business needs. Maintain data integrity in systems by running various reports and audits, analyzing and correcting the data as needed. Coordinate with internal and external partners to produce data for various audits.
