MillerKnoll’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their careers. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
What You'll Do
As an Accounting Tax Intern, you will be able to:
Learn technical clerical knowledge to support the administrative tasks for the tax team
Monitor the miscellaneous tax accounts in an ERP and post reclass entries as necessary
Collaborate with the indirect and income tax teams to complete tasks for tax returns.
Processes payments and applications for business licenses and annual reports as well as state payments for tax payments
Request and set up purchase orders
Participate in data retrieval and consolidation for sales by state, apportionment, and various other reports when requested by the team

Attain on-the-job work experience that is aligned with career objectives.
Participate in cross-functional teamwork to complete Intern Project.
Perform additional responsibilities as needed to achieve business objectives.
Perform tasks related to the degree program as assigned by the work team leader.
What You Bring
The needed skills and experience for this role include...
· A solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), internal controls and audit methodologies.
· Exhibits an ability to work cooperatively both in a team environment and independently.
· Advanced proficiency in Excel.
· Able to demonstrate high level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate information, ideas, procedures and processes in a logical sequence; at a level appropriate to the audience and resulting in effective working relationships.
· Enrolled and pursuing a four-year bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university, and able to provide transcripts on request.
· You must have a GPA of at least 3.0 (overall or within your program) to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program.
· Must have satisfactorily completed basic coursework in the chosen degree program.
· Must be authorized to work in the United States.
· Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
