The Account Conversation Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures. The Account Conversion Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the financial health of the company by ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported in a timely manner. WAG Values Leads with respect, integrity, and accountability Treats others with empathy and respect ROLE SPECIFIC TASKS Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices. Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing journal entries and financial reports. Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including filing and organizing invoices, receipts, and other documents. Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices and payments to ensure timely collection. Assist in preparing financial reports for management, providing insights into the company’s financial performance. Work with vendors and clients to resolve billing discrepancies and issues. Support the accounting team in maintaining compliance with accounting principles and company policies. Participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and information. Continuously seek out opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance financial accuracy. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a similar role. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel) and familiarity with ERP systems. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors, clients, and teammates.
