Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for working with the external vendors, internal market operations, and the corporate accounting department to ensure timely and accurate recording and processing of the accounts payable transaction cycle.Core Role Responsibilities Process efficiently and accurately code invoicesRoute invoices to the appropriate departments and review departmental codingEnsuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and employeesMaintain vendor files, ensure new vendor information (including W-9) is gathered in compliance with company guidelinesView bank exceptions daily, notify appropriate personnel when exceptions occur, issue voids/stop payments at bank and in accounting systemResearch outstanding checks, work with vendor to identify if payment is to be voided or reissuedProvide audit/research support by preparing supporting invoices/documentation, including cancelled check copies, as necessaryParticipate in special projects and manage assigned project plans and schedulesPerform other duties as assignedBasic QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; secondary education preferred2+ years of full cycle accounts payable experience  
Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of accounts payables principles and practices required, including coding of invoicesGeneral accounting knowledge required, understanding of debits and creditsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, with strong excel experienceTeam and Customer-centric mindsetDetail oriented with high volumes of dataSelf-sufficient with the ability to adapt to a changing environmentTime management with a focus on deadlines and accuracyConcur Invoice and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience a plus
