As a member of the Accounts Payable Organization, you will be an integral asset in our efforts to provide excellent customer service to our internal and external stakeholders. As the Accounts Payable Administrator, Experienced Lead, you will be a part of a streamlined team that processes vendor invoices and employee expense reports for all our U.S. and Canadian vendors and employees.
The successful candidate will need to be local to our Herndon, VA office. Candidate will be expected to come into office up to 1x a week, or on an as needed basis.
In this role you will:
Process vendor NonPo and PO invoices.Review employee expense reports.Prepare corrections for posted vouchers.Process payments via live check and EFT.Attend meetings in person at our Herndon, VA (HQ) office. Record wire payments.Respond to vendor inquires and internal inquiries. Research discrepancies.Contact vendors.Communicate with other departments.Review policies and procedures for potential changes.Evaluate processes and recommend improvements.Document processes.Support and train staff within the department.Manage system work queues and work loads.Prepare management reports.Participate and lead system upgrade testing. QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will have:
United States CitizenshipA High School DiplomaMinimum 7 years of industry specific experience processing Accounts PayableMinimum 2 years of recent experience as a team lead or supervisorBroad understanding of responsibilities and functions of the Accounts Payable functionPrior Accounts Payable voucher processing of PO and NonPO transactions in a high-volume environmentProficiency with MS Office Products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)Solid verbal and written communication skillsMust have experience working in a high volume/fast-paced environmentMust have solid organizational skillsAbility to multitask and follow-up on outstanding itemsAbility to follow stated policies and proceduresAbility to work independentlyExcellent customer service skillsAbility to work in our Herndon, VA office as required; up to 1x per weekAbility to work in our corporate office or to work remotely with self-provided stable and reliable internet connectionAbility to work standard business hours (eastern time zone), 5 days a weekAdditional desired experience and skills:
Proficiency in CostPoint 8Experience with ServiceNow, OnBase, and/or ConcurGovernment contracting experienceExperience with annual 1099 reportingTravel card management experienceIn compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $56,397.65 to $84,596.99; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
