We are dedicated to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions. Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors, and maintaining financial records. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Efficiently and accurately process invoices on a timely basis Ensure integrity of GL and VAT accuracy Matching invoices to purchase orders High volume, efficient query resolution Responsible for own supplier accounts with support to team as required Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries Periodic statement reconciliations Regular review of open receipts reports Payment runs BACS, SEPA and CHAPS for GBP, EUR, USD Protect businesses against unintentional overpayment Qualifications Technical competencies Previous AP experience within a high transaction volume company and the ability to cope with large quantities of invoices An understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills An appreciation of the importance of coding in respect of VAT Good excel skills Problem solving skills and experience of query resolution Excellent attention to detail Written and oral communication skills People-First Culture: At Martin Brower, our employees are our greatest asset.
