Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle all incoming invoices using SAP, ensuring accurate coding and matching with purchase orders. Additionally, the candidate will verify billing documents for accuracy, communicate accounting policies, maintain vendor information in SAP, and meet critical deadlines. The role also involves addressing vendor and internal inquiries, resolving past due balances and overpayments, running monthly AP Aging Reports, preparing documentation for auditors, and collaborating with the Purchasing department to resolve issues and improve processes.
ResponsibilitiesHandle all incoming invoices using SAP, ensuring accurate coding and matching with purchase orders.Verify billing documents for accuracy and report discrepancies.Interpret and communicate accounting policies as needed.Ensure vendor information is up-to-date in SAP.Meet deadlines, especially at quarter and year-end.Address inquiries and provide support to vendors and internal teams.Investigate past due balances and overpayments, and obtain refunds.Run and review monthly AP Aging Reports.Prepare documentation for auditors.Collaborate with the Purchasing department to resolve issues and improve processes.Essential Skills3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups.Experience with three-way matching.Experience working with a large ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.Bachelor's Degree or HS Diploma with high volume AP experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience using expense reporting systems.Experience in the manufacturing industry is desirable.
