Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, paying vendors, maintaining records, reconciling work, producing financial records, preparing tax records, analyzing accounts, and responding to vendor inquiries.
Responsibilities
+ Processing invoices for utilities, products, inventory, employee expenses, and reimbursements.
+ Scheduling paychecks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit.
+ Keeping track of payments, expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, and statements.
+ Verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
+ Creating, managing, and producing financial records that track cash flow and payments.
+ Preparing tax records for financial audits.
+ Preparing monthly reports and analyzing accounts.
+ Responding to vendor inquiries about finances.
Essential Skills
+ Accounts payable experience.
+ Proficiency in invoice entry and processing.
+ Strong accounting and invoicing skills.
+ Ability to handle purchase orders.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
+ Excellent phone skills and ability to communicate with estimators.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in maintaining records and office work.
+ Ability to pull job numbers and schedule tasks.
+ Experience in handling manifests.
+ Construction or similar related experience
Work Environment
This position is in the construction industry and based in an office environment. The role requires working with various computer systems and software, and it involves regular communication with vendors and estimators. The work environment includes standard office hours, and the dress code is business casual.
