Fairview Range is hiring an Accounts Payable Assistant for our Accounting team in Hibbing, MN. The Accounts Payable Assistant will assist in the operation of the accounts payable function of Fairview Range, including but not limited to receiving, processing and verifying invoices and credits for goods and services ordered. Also responsible for miscellaneous duties as assigned for the Fairview Range Accounting Department. Schedule: This position will work 72 to 80 hours per two weeks. As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be responsible for: Verifying line items pricing, and flagging and reporting discrepancies to the buyers or appropriate personnel Batching and balancing invoices that have been approved for payment Verifying receipt of goods on MMIS invoices prior to batch entry Serving as a resource for pricing/payables processes to Fairview Range department staff and vendors Processing credit/refund requests as needed for returns, shipping errors, etc. Verifying accuracy and receipt of credits as they apply to returned or damaged goods Reviewing and balancing monthly vendor statements Researching and resolving discrepancies on invoicing with buyers, vendor reps and vendor accounts receivable personnel Knowing and understanding the GL routing process and apply it appropriately Any other accounts payable tasks as assigned Required Qualifications High School graduate, on year of college or technical school; or equivalent accounts payable or accounting experience Computer experience in Windows - based environment Preferred Qualifications One year experience or vocational training in accounting related field Key Words: Accounting, payable, accounts receivable Compensation: $17.68-$25.28 / Hourly Fairview Range offers a generous benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, PTO, tuition reimbursement, retirement and more!
