Accounts Payable Associate
Job Title: Accounts Payable Associate Job Description + Open all accounts payable mail, stamp, date, and file invoices for processing. + Enter invoices into the system for general ledger posting and payment. + Prepare monthly cash disbursement reports and provide various vendor reports as needed. + Obtain receiving documents from warehouse, construction, and other departments, and ensure timely matching to avoid payment delays. + Process and prepare accounts payable payments weekly, preferably via ACH/Wire, and ensure remittance notifications are made as necessary. + Review and balance the Received Not Invoiced Report to the general ledger at month-end. + Assist with urgent payments, respond to vendor inquiries, and support external auditors with year-end schedules and transaction reviews. + Assist the Accounts Receivable department as needed. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience in accounts payable (B2B). + Proficiency in validating invoices and using Outlook. + Experience with AP automation and high-volume processing. + Basic Excel skills, including data manipulation and fast processing. + Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or QuickBooks. + Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, Outlook, and Word. + Experience communicating with vendors and internal teams via email. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience working in a mid to large-sized company. + Very professional communication skills, especially via email. + Detail-oriented and able to handle repetitive tasks. + Interactive personality with strong communication skills. Work Environment This position is completely onsite, operating from 8 AM to 5 PM with reasonable flexibility. The role is based in a corporate office environment in downtown Charleston, with a parking pass provided for the deck across the street. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
