Description We are offering an employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist located in Monmouth County, NJ. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for a wide range of clerical and customer service duties necessary to ensure the smooth operation of daily business. Responsibilities: • Assist customers with inquiries and strive for resolution • Review and verify the accuracy of new residential customer information • Update customer accounts for auto-pay and e-billing • Scan customer checks into the bank on a daily basis • Prepare daily payment check batches • Prepare daily e-box/ivr/wire batches Skills: • Cash Applications • Accounts Payable (AP) • Prepare Invoices • Process Vendor Invoices Requirements • Proven experience in the role of an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar position. • Demonstrated proficiency in Cash Applications. • Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes. • Ability to prepare and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner. • Experience in processing vendor invoices. • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles. • Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office (especially MS Excel). • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work. • Strong numerical skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Relevant certification in Accounting or Finance is desirable.
