Accounts Payable Clerk
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Columbus, Ohio. The role is within the finance industry, where the successful candidate will be expected to handle a variety of tasks related to accounts payable and data entry. The workplace is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where attention to detail and organizational skills are highly valued. Responsibilities: • Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications • Maintenance and updating of customer credit records • Resolving customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner • Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary • Executing check runs for payable accounts • Coding invoices accurately for appropriate tracking and payment • Data entry tasks related to accounts payable • Processing invoices using various software including Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and SAP • Ensuring all accounts payable activities are in compliance with financial regulations and standards • Collaborating with other team members to achieve overall finance objectives. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar financial role • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes • Experience in Check Runs is required • Proficient in Coding Invoices • Strong Data Entry skills are necessary • Experience in Invoice Processing is a must • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience with QuickBooks software is preferred • Knowledge of SAP software is a plus • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • High level of organization and ability to manage multiple tasks • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred • Familiarity with general accounting principles • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information • Experience with financial software and systems is a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
