Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the manufacturing industry, based in St Cloud, Minnesota. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and processing invoices, vouchers, and other check requests, as well as resolving inquiries and account discrepancies. Responsibilities: • Review and process check requests, invoices, debit memos, and other related documentation on a daily basis. • Respond professionally to vendor calls and inquiries. • Determine and voucher appropriate payments, making modifications as necessary. • Draw, verify, and post payments to appropriate vendors. • Reconcile petty cash and balance accounts payable on a monthly basis. • Assist in job closings and maintain the fixed asset subsidiary ledger. • Audit invoices and accounts as necessary. • Prepare payments of progressive invoices and pre-paid accounts as required. • Maximize early payment and/or credit card rewards. • Process Accounts Payable for another location using Quickbooks. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant field • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis • Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures • Knowledge of coding invoices accurately for payment • Experience handling incoming payments and maintaining accurate records • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies in financial data • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers and internal departments • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment • High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in finance or a related field will be advantageous Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
