Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk based in Lombard, Illinois. This role falls within the property management industry and requires the management of substantial vendor accounts. The role necessitates supporting the accounting team by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments and invoices. Responsibilities: • Manage approximately 150 vendor accounts as part of entry-level Accounts Payable tasks. • Prioritize the accurate and timely data entry of invoices. • Ensure the coding and approval of invoices populated in the system for payment. • Set up ACH payments for vendor accounts efficiently. • Assist with the establishment of new vendor accounts while maintaining accurate records. • Ensure accuracy in data entry and maintain a basic understanding of accounting principles. • Independently manage time and tasks. • Proficiently use accounting software and basic office tools such as Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks. • Perform account reconciliation and check runs. • Efficiently handle invoice processing and accounts payable. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in a role related to Accounts Payable or similar financial position • Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and account reconciliation practices • Experience with check runs and coding invoices • Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail • Experience with invoice processing and maintaining accurate financial records • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for financial tracking and reporting • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive financial information • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear and concise financial reporting.
