TR Vernal is a leading player in the construction industry. We are renowned for our innovative approach and commitment to delivering high quality and sustainable construction projects. We are currently seeking a detailed and experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join our finance team.
Job Description:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing all accounts payable procedures and processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment of company invoicing, maintaining financial records, and collaborating with other departments in financial matters. The ideal candidate must have job cost experience and be familiar with using QuickBooks.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage all activities in the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments.
Preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.
Keep track of all payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
Perform job cost analysis and reports; ensuring that costs are appropriately assigned to the respective job orders.
Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
Maintain historical records by filing documents both physically and electronically.
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payments.
Proactively and professionally manage the communication and clarification of financial information to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or in a related field is preferred.
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist in a construction environment.
Experience with job costing is a must.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant computer software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
