Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role involves managing and processing invoices, reconciling financial reports, and facilitating vendor payments in a dynamic workplace. Responsibilities: • Oversee and forward invoices to the relevant managers for approval. • Manage inventory transactions by reconciling receipts to invoice and processing payments. • Regularly reconcile, approve, and process general invoices for payment. • Manage receipt and verification of expense reports; reconcile expenses and other financial reports to align with account balances and other office records. • Facilitate payments to vendors, this may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies. • Ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identify discount opportunities, and issue purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed. • Assist in maintaining accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions. • Handle any other related duties as assigned. • Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Dynamics, Microsoft Excel, Multi-state Environment. Requirements • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk with at least 5 years in a similar role • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Dynamics • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes • Familiarity with operating in a multi-state environment • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to prioritize work and manage time efficiently • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/Ba in finance, accounting or relevant field is a plus.
