Accounts Payable Clerk
Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team based in the Sterling MA area. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating accounts payable files, processing electronic vendor payments, and handling full cycle accounts payable duties. You will also be tasked with managing vendor accounts and ensuring all invoices are properly coded. Responsibilities: • Oversee the maintenance and updating of accounts payable files to ensure documentation accuracy and policy compliance. • Handle full cycle accounts payable tasks including scanning, data entry, verification, and matching invoices received from vendors. • Process electronic vendor payments in an efficient and timely manner. • Analyze and resolve supplier payment issues, ensuring all concerns are addressed promptly. • Manage new vendor setup and maintain regular correspondence with vendors to respond to inquiries. • Reconcile monthly vendor account statements and related transactions. • Calculate requirements on paid invoices to track sales taxes payable. • Guarantee all invoices are coded correctly by charging expenses to the appropriate GL codes. • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities specifically for accounts payable. • Perform administrative functions such as answering phones, managing the company phone system, managing the front desk, and ordering office-related supplies.
