Description Robert Half is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to manage our client's accounts payable process. The specialist's responsibilities include maintaining our financial records, processing vendor payments, maintaining and distributing financial reports, reconciling invoices, and preparing journal entries. Responsibilities: + Reviewing and validating invoices and purchase orders for accuracy. + Managing the payment cycle to ensure prompt and accurate payment of vendor invoices. + Preparing journal entries and assisting with the monthly financial close. + Reconciling the accounts payable ledger. + Conducting audit procedures to ensure compliance with company policies. + Performing general ledger account analyses and reconciliations. + Maintaining and managing petty cash accounts and logs. + Working with vendors to resolve invoice balances and reconciling monthly statements. + Knowledge in Chart of Accounts and employing it in recording business transactions. + Collecting and reporting data for sales tax reimbursement to the local tax authority. + Assisting in backing up accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of data entry tasks. + Preparing reports and studies as assigned. + Other tasks as assigned, including facility cleaning.
