Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to become a part of our team in the Printing/Publishing industry located in NORFOLK, Virginia. This role provides a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Supervise the complete cycle of accounts payable, ensuring precision and efficiency in all transactions. • Carry out matching, batching, and coding of invoices with appropriate attention to detail. • Undertake research and resolve inquiries related to accounts payable. • Carry out light general ledger posting as part of accounts payable duties. • Conduct check runs, ensuring correct payment to vendors. • Handle high volume transactions while maintaining accurate records. • Use Excel for accounts payable processes and reporting. Requirements • Applicant must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is essential. • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with spreadsheet software is required. • A background in the Printing/Publishing industry is preferred. • The candidate should demonstrate strong attention to detail. • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are necessary. • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion. • Good verbal and written communication skills are vital for this role. • The applicant should have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Experience with financial software or accounting systems is a plus.
