Description We are offering a contract to hire Accounting Clerk opportunity with a company located Sanford, Florida. Working within the construction industry, you'll be responsible for managing accounts payable, handling purchase orders, processing credit card transactions, and carrying out general accounting duties using QuickBooks. Responsibilities: • Ensure the efficient and accurate processing of vendor invoices, maintaining prompt payments. • Oversee the reconciliation and input of credit card transactions in QuickBooks. • Administer the review and alignment of purchase orders with invoices before payment processing. • Aid in the procedures for month-end and year-end closing. • Uphold the accuracy of financial records and contribute to financial reporting. • Address discrepancies with vendors and oversee payment schedules. • Handle and manage accounts payable and other general accounting tasks. • Use QuickBooks for various financial tasks and responsibilities. • Assist in the management of purchase orders and credit card transactions. Requirements • Possess proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ensuring accurate and timely verification of financial transactions. • Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures, demonstrating an understanding of the end-to-end process. • Capability to manage Check Runs, ensuring all checks are issued accurately and on time. • Experience in Coding Invoices, accurately categorizing expenses for financial reporting. • Proficient in Data Entry, ensuring all financial data is captured and recorded accurately. • Ability to handle Invoice Processing, checking details and approving invoices for payment. • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, demonstrating the ability to create financial reports and manage large datasets. • Experience with QuickBooks, showing familiarity with this accounting software for managing and reconciling accounts.
