Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk, located in Portland, Oregon. You will be part of a team where you will be tasked with managing full accounts payable cycle and maintaining accurate vendor files. You will also be expected to handle cash receipts and perform regular account reconciliations. Responsibilities: • Maintain and process the full cycle of accounts payable efficiently • Handle and record cash, checks, health benefit bills, payroll account, donations, and credit card statements • Ensure up-to-date and accurate prepaid accounts and vendor files • Regularly reconcile various balance sheet accounts and the accounts receivable balance in the accounting system and in the medical billing system • Record and reconcile Daily Cash Receipts and Development donations • Prepare and handle unclaimed property reporting and year-end 1099 forms and federal report (1096) • Assist with the preparation for annual audit as required • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organization policies, procedures, and regulations • Perform additional duties as directed by the VP of Finance Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all accounts are accurately maintained and discrepancies are promptly resolved. • Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures. • Experience with Check Runs, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices. • Ability to perform Coding Invoices, correctly assigning expenses to the appropriate cost centers. • Strong Data Entry skills, emphasizing speed, accuracy, and attention to detail. • Proficiency in Invoice Processing, ensuring all invoices are accurately processed and paid in a timely manner. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes, including the use of pivot tables and complex formulas.
