Description We are looking to bring an Accounts Payable Clerk into our energy trading team based in Omaha, Nebraska. Responsibilities: • Accurately processing accounts payable transactions for multiple entities • Ensuring all payables have proper approval and are supported by the necessary documentation, including matching to relevant packing slips or open purchase orders • Correctly coding transactions to the general ledger • Assisting with account reconciliations and monitoring of accounts payable subledger aging • Ensuring vendor payments are made in a timely manner • Maintaining accurate and timely filing of supporting documents • Protecting the business against unintentional overpayments by reviewing accounts • Coordinating the receipt of new vendor information when applicable • Conducting an annual review of 1099s • Complying with internal controls over financial reporting and accounts payable processing • Participating in the monthly financial close process, which includes monthly journal entries, reporting, and analysis. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
