Accounts Payable Clerk
Description We are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk role based in Dania, Florida. This opportunity is within the Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry and is a short term contract employment opportunity. The selected candidate will be tasked with handling accounts payable, maintaining accurate records, and working closely with different teams within the organization. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines • Ensure timely and accurate processing of company inventory and expense payables • Organize, scan, and manage company documentation related to accounts payable • Collaborate with the merchandising and operations team to verify the accuracy of company invoices • Process weekly payment selections considering the company's terms and cash flow needs • Handle freight invoices, freight claims, rebates, and discounts • Maintain and update vendor accounts and ensure proper coding and dates for all transactions • Develop, implement, and maintain systems and procedures related to accounts payable • Identify and assist in implementing improvements in the accounts payable process. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data. • Solid experience in Accounts Payable (AP) management, including tracking payments and expenditures. • Demonstrated ability to perform Check Runs, ensuring all vendors are paid timely and accurately. • Skilled in Coding Invoices, effectively categorizing costs for more efficient financial tracking. • High level of accuracy in Data Entry, capable of processing large volumes of information without error. • Proven experience in Invoice Processing, including verifying details and resolving discrepancies. • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing data. • Familiar with Oracle financial software to manage company finances and conduct financial forecasting. • Experience with QuickBooks for managing sales, expenses and keeping track of daily transactions. • Knowledge of SAP software for efficient execution of business processes.
