Description We are inviting applications for the role of Accounts Payable Clerk, based in Fairport, New York. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity in the finance industry. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be actively involved in account reconciliation, invoice processing, and data entry tasks, among others. Key Responsibilities: • Implementing accounts payable procedures to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing. • Conducting account reconciliation tasks to maintain accurate records. • Handling check runs effectively and with precision. • Undertaking coding invoices tasks to ensure proper allocation of expenses. • Engaging in data entry tasks to keep the customer records updated. • Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks and reporting. • Operating QuickBooks for accounting purposes. • Monitoring customer accounts and resolving any discrepancies. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, demonstrating a thorough understanding of tracking and balancing financial accounts. • Solid experience in Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring all payments are made in accordance with company policy and on time. • Ability to manage Check Runs, overseeing the process of printing, signing, and distributing checks. • Expertise in Coding Invoices, assigning appropriate expense codes to invoices for accurate financial tracking. • Strong Data Entry skills, demonstrating speed and accuracy in entering financial data into company systems. • Experience in Invoice Processing, ensuring all received invoices are accurately recorded and paid. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, using the software for various financial tasks, such as creating spreadsheets, tracking expenses, and generating reports. • Familiarity with QuickBooks, demonstrating the ability to use this accounting software for managing and paying bills, invoicing clients, and conducting payroll functions.
