Accounts Payable Clerk

The Accounts Payable Clerk completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. This role is crucial in maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions, as well as reconciling vendor accounts by matching monthly statements and related transactions.
Responsibilities
+ Perform daily cash reconciliation.
+ Print vendor invoices sent via email and submit for coding.
+ Enter invoices into the system, process checks, and submit to upper management for signatures.
+ Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
+ Collaborate in releasing daily vendor-held checks.
+ Update the Held Check report daily and communicate with the General Manager.
+ Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, responding to all payment inquiries.
+ Maintain historical records, including products, vendors, pricing, and purchase history.
+ Prepare account analysis and produce monthly expenditure reports.
+ Continuously improve the supplier payment process.
+ Participate in monthly physical inventory.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with accounts payable, including a variety of invoice processing such as purchase orders, services, goods, utilities, and cost of materials.
+ Proficiency in general ledger, payments, vendor invoices, invoicing, data entry, and payable processes.
+ Knowledge of three-way matching and purchase order processing.
+ At least 6 months of experience in accounts payable.
+ Full cycle accounts payable knowledge.
+ Purchasing or buyer experience is a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment is an office setting with hours from 8am to 5pm, including a 1-hour lunch break. The company is family-oriented, offers growth opportunities, and values positive employee conversions. Employees will have the chance to cross-train in various accounting responsibilities.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
