Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the manufacturing industry, based in Von Ormy, Texas, 78073, United States. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a critical role in processing accounts payable transactions, maintaining accuracy, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments. Responsibilities: • Review and validate invoices for accuracy, cross-checking the details with purchase orders and receipts • Enter invoice details into the accounting system, ensuring prompt and accurate posting of all transactions • Prepare and schedule payments for approved invoices, adhering to company policies and timelines • Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and addressing queries • Reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure all records are updated and correct • Support the accounting team during month-end and year-end closings, including reconciliation of accounts payable ledgers • Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently • Maintain accurate customer credit records • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary • Utilize QuickBooks online, Microsoft Excel, and other tools to perform tasks efficiently and accurately.
