Accounts Payable Clerk
Description We are offering an exciting long-term contract employment opportunity in Spartanburg, South Carolina, for an Accounts Payable Clerk. This role involves managing accounts payable within an industry setting, establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of bills and payroll. Responsibilities: • Analyzing and optimizing workflow processes within the accounts payable department • Establishing and nurturing relationships with new and existing vendors to ensure smooth financial transactions • Ensuring timely and accurate payment of bills and payroll in adherence to departmental procedures • Processing due invoices for payments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency • Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges to prevent discrepancies • Performing various accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts • Using accounting software and other programs to manage accounts payable for separate entities and vendors • Utilizing skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Runs, Coding Invoices, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to perform tasks efficiently and accurately. Requirements • Possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. • Experienced in Accounts Payable (AP), capable of managing all outgoing payments efficiently. • Demonstrated proficiency in Check Runs, able to process payment for vendor invoices and expenses. • Skilled in Coding Invoices, ensuring all invoices are correctly categorized and recorded. • High proficiency in Data Entry, with attention to detail and accuracy. • Experience in Invoice Processing, able to manage and oversee the payment of bills and invoices in a timely manner. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, capable of managing and analyzing large amounts of data. • Familiarity with Oracle, able to use this software for financial management and reporting. • Experience with QuickBooks, capable of using this software for managing accounts payable tasks. • Knowledge of SAP, able to use this system for financial operations and reporting.
