Accounts Payable Clerk
Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team located in Yorba Linda, California. This role is vital in the execution of all accounts payable transactions and supports the smooth operation of our finance department. The successful candidate will collaborate with various departments, suppliers, and external stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and uphold the financial integrity of the organization. This opportunity offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Accurately process supplier invoices, credit memos, and expense reports in accordance with company policies and procedures. • Prepare and execute payments such as checks, electronic transfers, and ACH, ensuring accuracy, authorization, and timely completion. • Maintain positive relationships with vendors, resolving any discrepancies related to purchase orders, payments, and invoicing in a timely manner. • Carry out accounts payable transactions and vendor statement reconciliations to ensure transparency and accuracy, addressing any discrepancies that arise. • Ensure adherence to the company’s chart of accounts by accurately coding and inputting invoices/expenses into the company's accounting software. • Support audits and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant tax laws, such as sales and use tax. • Maintain an organized filing system for accounts payable records, including invoices, approvals, and payment confirmations. • Identify opportunities to streamline payment processes and reduce errors, contributing to continuous improvements in the finance team's efficiency. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required. • Prior experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is essential. • Ability to perform Check Runs efficiently and accurately. • Experience in Coding Invoices is a must. • Must possess strong Data Entry skills. • Proficiency in Invoice Processing is needed. • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel is required. • Prior experience with QuickBooks is a significant advantage.
