Description We are on the lookout for a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the financial services industry, located in Somerset, New Jersey. This role necessitates the accurate processing of vendor invoices and the maintenance of vendor accounts. You will be collaborating with vendors and other departments to resolve any discrepancies and establish a good working relationship with vendors. Responsibilities: • Accurately reconcile vendor invoices against internal records to confirm account balances. • Maintain vendor accounts by reconciling vendor statements and related transactions. • Collaborate with vendors and other departments to resolve any discrepancies in purchase orders or invoices. • Schedule payments in a timely manner to ensure that vendors receive payments within terms and any available discounts are utilized. • Provide effective and timely responses to inquiries from both internal and external sources. • Establish and maintain good working relationships with new and existing vendors. • Utilize Microsoft Excel and other relevant software to process and enter vendor invoices. • Reconciliation of accounts as needed. • Ensure the accuracy of customer credit records. • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Possess strong skills in entering and processing vendor invoices • Proficient in account reconciliation tasks • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel • Ability to maintain accurate and complete financial records • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy • Good communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines • Experience with financial software systems is preferred • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
