Accounts Payable Clerk
Description We are in search of a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Newport Beach, California. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be a crucial part of our operations, handling the processing of invoices and maintaining up-to-date records. You will also be responsible for managing customer inquiries and monitoring customer accounts. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Process invoices efficiently on a weekly basis • Regularly maintain and update customer credit records • Promptly handle and resolve customer inquiries • Monitor customer accounts and initiate necessary actions • Perform minor filing duties as required • Use QuickBooks for account management and other tasks • Ensure all accounts payable tasks are completed in a timely manner • Work with the team to ensure smooth operations • Assist the team with other tasks as needed • Uphold the highest levels of financial integrity and accuracy. Requirements • A minimum of a high school diploma is required, though an associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred. • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role. • Hands-on experience with accounting software, particularly NetSuite. • Familiarity with basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles. • Ability to process and manage invoices and expense reports. • Proficiency in managing transactions and ensuring that all bills are paid on time. • Demonstrated ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records. • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. • Solid data entry skills along with a knack for numbers. • Proficiency in office software, particularly Excel. • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and willingness to uphold these responsibilities. • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Knowledge and understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures.
